Foreclosure Forum and Scam Prevention

• On Thursday October 15th, over 220 attendees gathered in a Foreclosure Forum at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, which included participants from local, state, and federal agencies, including the FTC, FDIC, San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank, Fannie Mae, and the Kern County Sheriff's Department.  Attendees learned information about the Federal making Home Affordable Program, and measures they can take to protect themselves against foreclosure scams.
