Faith In Action Kern County will send 40 faith leaders to a PICO regional training in Fresno this Saturday January 21st, 2012. We will be joined by other faith leaders from the PICO Network, from the Merced Organizing Project, Fresno's Faith In Community, and Congregations Building Community, to work to build a regional vision for improvement to our state and practice organizing techniques.

Faith In Action leaders and partners had a successful community event last Saturday, October 22nd, 2011. Over 250 community members gathered at United In Christ Church for a neighborhood clean up, community BBQ, and grocery give away.
Faith In Action Kern County along with the GBLA, Greater Bakersfield Legal Assistance Inc., sponsored a free Foreclosure workshop, Friday October 14th, 2011 in Arvin at St. Thomas Catholic Church Hall. More than 40 individuals from the nearby community received valuable information at this event!
